Mission

The Heart and Soul of Coffee is a multimedia organization dedicated to creating a vibrant community through Café and coffee culture.

I hope to create a sensory journey that enriches both the mind and the palate through my musings on life, culture and the interplay between humanity and the drink that has become a global phenomenon. My invitation to you is too slow down, savor the aroma, and explore the intricate layers that both coffee and life offer.

About Lenny Manzo

I was born in Brooklyn, NY, and spent my youth in New York City. Living in an Italian household I was introduced to coffee at an early age. I spent many years traveling around the world until I found myself settled outside of Boston. A New Yorker living in New England; well, that’s a story for a cup of coffee.

I began my career in the movie and television industry 30 years ago. I was working on a film in Boston shooting in the Italian neighborhood, known as the North End. I began to frequent the coffee shops on Hanover Street. By the time the movie was in the can my love affair with coffee had begun and my passion over the years has only grown.

I have been writing about coffee and café life for years and I want to share that with all of you who love and appreciate coffee as I do. It is truly a joy every time I have a cup. Keep in mind that this site is a work in progress and there are many plans for the future.

I am also pleased to announce that my book, The Heart & Soul of Coffee, will be out in the Fall of 2023. It has been quite a few years in the making, but all things in their time.
