I reached my lovely café, poised for the experience, when I realized I had inadvertently left my wallet at home. I explained my plight to the barista in charge and I offered to gladly pay him on Tuesday for a latte today. He agreed, until he served up my Rosetta topped latte and uttered a most pleasing colloquialism, “On the House!”
